Volunteer of the Year – George Tolton

Good afternoon,

Welcome to the new blog of the Brandywine Battlefield.  You will be able to find notices, updates, happenings, and goings-on of the Brandywine Battlefield Park and PHMC, as well as local events here. And what better way to start off than by announcing our 2017 Volunteer of the Year, George Tolton!

George has been an integral part of the Brandywine Battlefield Park for many years now.  As an Itinerant Dance Master, George has taught countless students and visitors the wonder of 18th century colonial dance.  On any given Saturday, you can catch George and the Heritage Dancers in our Visitor’s Center practicing dance and welcoming others to join in!  Their next appearance will be Saturday, June 16th from 10am-3pm at the park.  Future dates can be found here.

George has given so much to the Brandywine Battlefield Park.  His efforts were recognized at the 2017 PHMC Volunteer of the Year Awards, held at the State Museum in Harrisburg PA.

On behalf of BBPA and PHMC, thank you George!
